Education: Associate degree in science at Kishwaukee College, bachelor’s degree in science at NIU

Experience: Board president for two years and member for four years, 22 years as an AV systems integrator, has worked at NIU in Media Systems for two years and has served on the DeKalb County Special Education Association governing board since 2005.

What will you bring to the school board?: We must continue to make sure every child meets or exceeds standards so that every child has an equal opportunity to succeed and contribute to our global society. We must successfully implement our strategic plan within the framework of a balanced budget. We must continue to enhance partnerships with local municipalities, the Park District and NIU.
