Jared Lash

Education: Graduated from NIU in 2006 with a bachelor’s in computer science and also has an associate degree from Lincoln Land Community College.

Experience: He was a campaign volunteer for the congressional campaigns of John Laesch in 2005 and 2008. He is a Democratic precinct committeeman and has helped organize and is a member of the Huskie Line union.

What will you bring to the city if elected?: Lash said he brings representation which he feels is the biggest thing lacking from the 6th Ward. He said he also brings an understanding of both student needs as well as the needs of more established DeKalb residents. Lash is running to help bring better paying jobs to DeKalb. He feels when future students graduate, DeKalb should be the place for them to put their degrees to use.
