Drop whatever it is that you’re doing — unless you’re holding a baby — and run to your computer this instant. I’m completely serious. The world hinges on your viewing of this one video.

His name is Yorick. He’s 32, from an undisclosed state and carries a thick, undefined accent. His best friend is man’s best friend, a yellow Labrador named Dog. Wait, Yorick’s dog’s name is Dog? You betcha.

Together, the two redefine the conventional relationship between man and mutt. In this episode, Yorick dresses his docile doggie in people clothing (shades, a nice hat, some groovy shorts).

That’s it. There’s nothing more to it than a pooch looking cute in front of his too-proud owner, who, judging by the other videos in the “series,” is a big fan of video games, John McCain and animal anthropomorphism. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; I’m a huge fan of the “Air Bud” franchise.

Like most minor YouTube celebs, there are many questions to be answered after viewing this clip. For starters: is Yorick’s accent genuine? And if it is, which region is it from? I’d take a shot in the dark and say Scandinavia but one could never be certain. Also: Dog. Why “Dog”? Is there a deeper meaning behind his name, perhaps the first sign of an abusive owner? And what is the cause for its consistent catatonic state? Many questions, few answers.

Well played, “Dog Time,” well played.
