Improv group coming to NIU to entertain

By NORTHERN STAR STAFF

No scripts, no rules, no turning back.

This mission statement will be tested when Mission Improvable, a five-person improvisational comedy group, comes to the Duke Ellington Ballroom in the Holmes Student Center Saturday at 5 p.m.

The group, originally from Massachusetts but now calling Chicago its home, is composed entirely of secret agents whose mission is to perform and spread improv comedy to the whole world, according to their official Web site.

The show allows for audience members to offer suggestions for Mission Improvable to incorporate into their act, whether it be scenes, monologues or “group explorations.”

Presented by CAB, the event is free.
