Huskies look for a win tonight against Redhawks

After an up and down week the Northern Illinois men’s basketball team will travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami (OH) Redhawks at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The Huskies (6-11 overall, 2-3 MAC) have lost their last five road games and are 2-8 away at the Convocation Center this season.
On the other side of the ball the Redhawks are 4-2 at home and 7-4 in the state of Ohio.
Senior Michael Bramos is averaging 17.6 points a game for the Redhawks and senior guard Kenny Hayes is averaging 13.9 a game in eight games.
Center Tyler Dierkers averaging 8.4 points a game and 7.2 rebounds a game, while leading the team with 27 steals.
Last time out for Miami (OH) the team dropped a 76-64 decision to MAC East leader Buffalo.
Saturday did not bode well for the Huskies either, as they fell 58-45 to Central Michigan, in a game where Mike DiNunno posted 25 points and Jake Anderson was held to just one point.
DiNunno is averaging 13 points a games and Anderson leads the team averaging 16.5 points and 5.4 rebounds a game. Sophomore center Sean Kowal is averaging 10.7 and 5.3 rebounds a game.
Miami (OH) is currently second in the MAC East and the Huskies are in a three-way tie with Central Michigan and Toledo for third place in the MAC West.
