Chris Carter comes to blow your mind
November 18, 2008
Christopher Carter, mindreader, hypnotist and self-proclaimed “freakout artist,” will be bringing his show, “Theater Of Thoughts” to NIU tonight at the Carl Sandburg Auditorium.
According to a news release, Carter will cause a lightbulb to explode by only using his concentration, reveal personal facts to audience members that they thought no one knew and duct-tape coins over his eyes as he describes objects audience members hold up.
Carter first became interested in ESP when he was 8 years old and his uncle allowed him to sit in on a poker game. He began to pick up on how people broadcast their thoughts in ways beyond words, according to his official Web site.
As a prerequisite to performing, Carter’s contract rider states that he must be accommodated with a clean, non-smoking room, along with two students to sell hypnosis CDs after the event.
The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Carl Sandburg Auditorium, and is free to attend.
