Oh sexy Rexy.

After seeing Kyle Orton leave the game with an injury on Sunday, I feared the worst for the Bears.

Seeing Rex Grossman come into the game, I was almost tempted to turn the game off right there.

Orton was having a career year thus far, and the Bears can be thought of as a better team than their record shows.

But Rex came through, with the help of running back Matt Forte.

The Bears were able to beat the win-less Lions and Grossman didn’t make any critical errors. You can’t blame him for being rusty, but he surely didn’t look that bad. Lovie Smith, hopefully, won’t remember his old famous quote and go back to saying “Rex is our quarterback.”

Maybe I’ll have to take the Orton tape off the back of my Grossman jersey.
