Five albums to look forward to this fall

By HEATHER SKRIP

As I mentioned in a previous blog, this fall is a slow season for the entertainment industry. However, I was able to create a list of 5 albums that you should look for in these coming months.

1) Snow Patrol – “A Hundred Million Sun” (10/28)

The first single from the album, “Take Back the City,” has a different sound than Snow Patrol’s albums usually do. As with most bands, once they change their sound, the new album is definitely worth listening to.

2) Fall Out Boy – “Folie à Deux” (11/4)

Whether you like FOB or not, there’s no doubt that “Folie” will become extremely overplayed and popular. “I Don’t Care,” the first single, is sure to remind listeners of “From Under the Cork Tree.”

3) Taylor Swift – “Fearless” (11/11)

Taylor Swift, along with Miley Cyrus, has become an idol for teen girls. Her fan base is widespread, so this album is sure to be a big hit.

4) The All-American Rejects – “When the World Comes Down” (11/18)

The first single, “Gives You Hell,” gives the impression that the new album will be full of catchy, poppy hits. Seeing as how The All-American Rejects continually put out popular songs, this new album is sure not to disappoint.

5) Kanye West – “808’s and Heartbreak” (11/25)

After hearing Chicago-native Kanye perform “Love Lockdown” on the VMA’s, it became a phenomenon. Will “808’s” beat out “Graduation?” Time will only tell.
