Cooking With Flavor: Ghostly white pizza
October 30, 2008
Pizza is a tried and true party food. If you’re feeling culinary, give this dish a spooky edge by putting plastic spiders on top or garnishing with black olives in the shape of a scary face.
Ingredients
1 wheat, pre-made pizza crust
1 jar of alfredo sauce
2 chicken breasts
pepper, seasoning salt, parsley, garlic salt and a pinch of sugar
baking dish
pizza pan
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Season chicken with pepper, seasoning salt, parsley and garlic salt so all spices are visibly covering the chicken. Place in baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until cooked thoroughly. Remove, let cool for 3 to 5 minutes before dicing into cubes.
Change oven temperature in accordance with instructions on pizza crust package.
Put pizza crust on a pizza pan and pour alfredo sauce over crust to cover as one would do with spaghetti sauce on a regular pizza. Sprinkle the pinch of sugar over the alfredo sauce. Place chicken cubes on the pizza as toppings.
If desired, place olives or any other Halloween-themed edible toppings.
Bake in oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or however long specified on pizza crust package.
Remove, let cool for 3 to 5 minutes and top with plastic spiders or any other creative Halloween decorations. Cut into squares for easy party serving. Enjoy!
