What to do throughout Halloween week

It’s Halloween week! If you are still stuck on figuring out what to do in DeKalb, here are five events that will make your Halloween week a treat.
TODAY
“Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” with NPR host Peter Sagal
7 p.m. – $25
Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center
Anyone that has listened to his show on NPR knows that Sagal has the ability to transform current events into a humorous quiz show. After the discussion, there will be a book signing of Sagal’s new venture, “The Book of Vice (Naughty Things and How to Do Them).”
WEDNESDAY
Unveiling The Darkness
7 p.m. – free
Sandburg Auditorium
What is Halloween week without Satanism? A guest speaker will explain and answer many questions regarding this topic.
FRIDAY
Halloween Ball
7 p.m. – 11 p.m. – $5 for students, $10 for adults
Altgeld Hall
If you don’t have a costume party of your own to go to on Halloween night, stop by the Halloween Ball. Even if you don’t have a costume, drop by the dance and get some candy.
SATURDAY
Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum
8 p.m. – $29.75
Convocation Center
This tour is hosted by CMT, and fans are lucky the pairing of Aldean and Lady Antebellum will make a stop in DeKalb. Country fans are sure to appreciate Aldean’s music echoing throughout the Convo.
Harry Potter Conference
8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. – free, but registration is required.
Reavis/DuSable Halls
This all-day event is ideal for any Harry Potter fan. There will be guest speakers throughout the day, with a craft session in the evening.
