DeKalb man arrested for selling drugs

Police arrested a DeKalb man reportedly selling cocaine and marijuana in the 1100 block of West Lincoln Highway, police said.

About 2:44 a.m. Friday, Christopher Franklin, 20, was arrested after DeKalb Police received an anonymous tip that he would be selling cocaine and marijuana in the area. When police approached Franklin, he ran from the area and was later arrested after a foot chase, according to a DeKalb Police Department police report. Franklin was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana, and was arrested.

Franklin was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis and obstructing a peace officer. He was later taken to DeKalb County Jail pending bond.
