How to get NIU football tickets
September 10, 2008
If you’re finding yourself low on money early into the semester and wondering what there is to do on a Saturday with such a small budget, at NIU there are free football tickets.
The only cost – that of getting off the couch. So here’s a quick five-step guide on how to get your free tickets for Huskie football games in 2008.
Step 1 – Find your student ID. I know it’s hard to do with all that laundry on your floor. But trust me, you’ll be happy that you cleaned up the mess after you find, and throw out, that moldy burrito from last Friday night.
Step 2 – Get your shoes on, or even slippers, and head out the door.
Step 3 – Go to one of these locations during the week before the game:
Convocation Center ticket office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Holmes Student Center (by the computer lab on the first floor), Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Barsema Hall, Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
The Rec Center, Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Lincoln Hall, Tuesday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Stevenson Hall, Wednesday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Douglas Hall, Thursday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Step 4 – Give your student ID to a representative at one of these locations. You’ll know they’re the representative because they’ll have the tickets. They will swipe/check your student ID and give you a ticket in return. Pretty nifty, eh?
Step 5 – Now you’ve got your ticket! So sit back, relax, get to the game in time for some tailgating and then enjoy your free Saturday entertainment.
