September 29, 2008
A DeKalb man was reportedly stabbed in the parking lot of Club Detox early Saturday morning.
About 2 a.m., the man reportedly got into a fight with two male suspects in the parking lot at 1000 W. Lincoln Highway. The victim told police that during the fight one of the men stabbed him in the right arm, but did not see who stabbed him and could not describe the men he was fighting with, according to a DeKalb Police report.
The victim’s girlfriend, who was not present during the fight, then drove him to Kishwaukee Community Hospital where he was treated for the wound on his right forearm. The victim told police he was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana at the time of the fight, according to the report.
DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said they are planning to re-interview the victim, and are still investigating the case.
