A collection of sketches and vignettes from American humorist and cartoonist James Thurber will be performed by the School of Theatre and Dance Sept. 25-28 and Oct. 1-5.

“A Thurber Carnival” is an adaptation of Thurber’s short stories, cartoons and essays which originally appeared in “The New Yorker” magazine throughout his career.

The revue will consist of 15 short scenes, which will include such pieces as “File and Forget,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” and “If Grant Had Been Drinking at Appomattox.”

Tickets are $7 for students and $14 for non-students, with senior discounts available.

The hour-and-a-half show will begin at 7:30 p.m., except for Sunday performances which will begin at 2 p.m. All shows will be performed at the O’Connell Theatre in the Stevens Building.
