Jack’s Mannequin album perfect for summer
August 24, 2008
Every summer deserves a great soundtrack.
My favorite returning album is Jack’s Mannequin’s “Everything In Transit.” The California band is best known for their addicting songs with lyrics easy to relate to, with their inspiration coming from their singer’s heroic battle with leukemia. The upbeat songs are perfect for any summer day.
The band released a new EP this summer, “The Ghost Overground,” which did not disappoint.
“The Resolution” provides catchy beats and the addicting California inspired sounds that make Jack’s Mannequin worth listening to as the sweet piano melody soothes the soul. “Bloodshot,” also proves to be a typical Jack’s song, but with a more solid rock beat.
Also on the EP, exclusively sold on iTunes, were live versions of “Holiday From Real” and “Kill The Messenger.”
For anybody that wants to break away from a music scene where the guys wear girls pants and everyone’s hair suddenly looks like a box of crayons, give Jack’s Mannequin a listen.
Any of their songs are sure to please and inspire you to become an optimist.
