Three shows to watch

By DAVID MATZ

Looking for something that will cheer you up after classes today? ABC’s “Wipeout” always brings a smile to my face.

Watch as 24 new contestants run through ridiculous obstacle courses with hilarious outcomes and witty commentary from hosts and comedians, John Henson and John Anderson. Today’s courses include “butt kicker,” “big balls” and the always entertaining “floating block maze.”

On tomorrow night, the very popular and entertaining “Mythbusters” is always a sure beat. They constantly blow me away (no pun intended) with explosions and interesting myths.

On tomorrow’s episode, Adam and Jamie examine the myth that the 1969 lunar landing was fake. Government conspirators, this may be the episode for you.

Are you a fan of “Deadliest Catch,” “Ice Road Truckers” and “Axe Man?” Then you should love the NBC’s new series, “America’s Toughest Jobs.” Already on its second episode, “America’s Toughest Jobs” takes 13 regular people and makes them work a day in some of the most demanding and dangerous jobs in America. The contestants get graded at the end of the day and the ones that can’t keep up get sent home. The sole winner takes home the annual salary of each job.

Take my advice, as these three shows are your best bets for the lethargic, end-of-summer schedule.
