This fantasy story from the “Muppet man” himself, Jim Henson, is one of the more serious Muppet movies. Viewers follow the orphan Jen, who goes on a quest to stop the reign of the evil Skeksis, embarking on a wild journey to find the missing shard of the dark crystal that empowers them. Though the storyline is rather far-fetched, the sheer creativity that went into making the mystical creatures and places make this ’80s classic a must-have for any collection.
