Huskies knock off Ball State 13-7

The Northern Illinois baseball team will advance to the second round of the MAC Tournament with a 13-7 victory over Ball State on Wednesday.

The Huskies will face the winner of the Kent State vs. Central Michigan game, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The second round game will start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Trevor Feeney (6-4) gets the win, going six-plus innings, giving up six runs but shutting down the Cardinals in the fifth and sixth.

Justin Behm went 3-4 with three RBI’s, including a two-run home run in the fifth.

A 6-0 lead for the Cardinals vanished as the Huskies scored 13 of the game’s final 14 runs to win the first-round match-up.

NIU knocked out 14 hits in the game with only one error in the field. The Cardinals committed four errors.
