A Malta man was charged with disorderly conduct after being seen suspiciously outside the Delta Zeta sorority house several times during the last year, according to the DeKalb police.

At 12:41 a.m. Thursday, DeKalb Police were called to the Delta Zeta house, 1010 Blackhawk Road, for a suspicious vehicle near the house. The complainants reported seeing the vehicle constantly driving around their parking lot, the cinema across the street and around the block. The driver was seen parking in various locations in the rear parking lot of Campus Cinemas, 1015 Blackhawk Road.

The vehicle was also seen by sorority members on multiple occasions throughout the last year. The driver was also observed walking around the building that night.

The vehicle was stopped while leaving the cinema when police pulled in. Police spoke with the suspect, Kyle Hart, 24, of Malta, who was questioned and charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released on bond.

“He has a Malta address and was hanging around a sorority house acting suspicious with no good reason for being there,” said Lt. Gary Spangler of the DeKalb Police Department.

Spangler said Hart had been sitting in the area and appeared to be watching the house.
