Battle of the giant pizza slices

Two DeKalb pizzerias have made the same claim to fame: Home of the biggest slice of pizza with a pop.

Here’s the rundown:

Huskie’s Pizza

How big is the pizza? 28″ – 29″

Price of slice: $3.89 plus tax with a can of soda

Claim to fame: “Our customers say our slice is bigger,” said Craig Bernacki, managing partner at Huskie’s Pizza. “We make all of our sauce and dough fresh every day from scratch on site.”

Bacci’s Pizza

How big is the pizza? 26″

Price of slice: $4.57 plus tax with a refillable fountain drink

Claim to fame: “We are the original home of the jumbo slice,” Steve Henderson, manager of Bacci’s Pizza said. “All of our ingredients are made in one place in Chicago, and they deliver to all the Bacci’s restaurants.”
