Women’s soccer remains coachless
January 15, 2008
After more than a month, the NIU women’s soccer team is still without a head coach.
On Dec. 6, Big12sports.com announced that NIU head coach Marci Miller-Jobson accepted the same position at Baylor.
Miller-Jobson departed NIU after three seasons, when she balanced her career with the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and helped to re-establish the success of NIU’s women’s soccer program.
The Huskies went 23-27-9 under Miller-Jobson and reached the MAC Tournament twice during her tenure.
The head coaching position has been vacant for five weeks, but the university was closed for two weeks because of the holidays.
NIU Athletics said the university is close to taking care of the situation and will make an announcement soon.
