Catch of the day | Gina Troy
January 31, 2007
Gina Troy is a sophomore elementary education major.
Northern Star: Why do you want to get into elementary education?
Gina Troy: I’d like to make a positive influence on generations to come.
NS: Coincidentally, that’s the reason I am getting into journalism. If you could revive one dead celebrity, who would it be and why?
GT: I say we should bring back Kurt Cobain; he was a very profound thinker. He had ideas and was talented, and it was a waste.
NS: What’s your ideal vacation spot?
GT: Somewhere warm. I like warm; I like sunshine.
NS: Well, the whole world’s going to be warm in about 50 years, so I’ll just put you down for Alaska.
GT: No, I’m happy anywhere as long as I have people [and] good company.
NS: You’re in prison and given one last meal – what is it?
GT: Bread, I love bread.
NS: You’re given one last meal and you’ve chosen bread?
GT: Good bread. I like fruit. Fruit and bread and I’d be happy.
