A-Bomb hits The House with Gravetones, Curtains
January 18, 2007
DeKALB | Four-piece band A-Bomb Chop Shop headlines The House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway, this Saturday. The show starts at 8 p.m. with a $6 cover and also features The Gravetones, Curtains and Awesome Car Funmaker.
“A-Bomb Chop Shop is a psychobilly experience that is not to be missed,” said John Ugolini of Kickstand Productions. “The band gets incredibly intoxicated, plays rock and roll with guitars out-of-tune, and breaks things, all the while spewing obscenities.”
The Chicago-based band was started two years ago by frontman “Big Pelvis Elvis,” and the band went through numerous lineup changes until it solidified in 2005.
“Awesome Car Funmaker write songs about juice boxes and zombies,” Ugolini said.
The Madison-based glam-metal band will be an interesting addition to the lineup.
“They are easily one of the more entertaining and energetic bands that have played The House Cafe in the past year,” Ugolini said.
