Last chance to see Wolfe

By Lacy Searcy

DeKALB | NIU fans who have never seen Garrett Wolfe play in person will have one last chance to do so.

This Friday’s NIU football game against Central Michigan is Senior Day, which means it will be the final home game for 14 NIU seniors.

Along with Wolfe, the offense will lose quarterback Phil Horvath, tight end Jake Nordin, receiver Jarret Carter and offensive linemen Matt Rogers and Doug Free.

On defense, gone will be defensive linemen Brad Benson, Eric Pittman, Ken West, linebacker Keenan Blalark, safety Dustin Utschig, and the cornerback twins Adriel and Alvah Hansbro.

The game will also be the last for kicker Luke Biondi.

Fans think different

The MAC predictions picked the NIU men’s basketball team to finish in second in the MAC west.

On mac-sports.com, things look a little different.

Of the 307 fans who have voted so far, the consensus is that NIU will finish fifth in the MAC west standings. The poll showed that fans around the MAC felt that Ball State would finish in second.

Both in third

McCullagh is third in the nation in kills per game with 5.84 and Guide is third in the nation with 6.88 digs per game.
