DeKALB | A fight in an apartment led to the arrest of two suspects Friday night.

Police responded to a call made from an apartment in the 1000 block of Aspen Drive at 11:11 p.m. saying that a person was trying to start a fight and not letting anyone leave.

Police conducted an investigation and arrested Trevor D. O’Keefe, 22, of Rockford, Ill., for disorderly conduct.

While at the scene, officers also noticed fresh damage to the hallway of the apartment complex, according to a police report.

Witnesses at the scene told police another person damaged the wall earlier that night but had already left.

As police led O’Keefe away, one of the occupants of the apartment stopped them, saying the person who had damaged the wall was trespassing in the apartment, according to the report.

Police arrested Kevin J. Stupka, 20, of Davis Junction, Ill., as he tried to leave the building. Stupka faces charges of criminal trespass and criminal damage to property.

Police transported both suspects to the DeKalb Police Department, where they posted the required bond and were released.
