DeKALB | DeKalb Police located and arrested a suspect involved in the Aug. 20 armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver, according to a statement.

Police arrested Jesse T. Braun, 18, for armed robbery and two unrelated counts of criminal damage to property.

Police allege that Braun armed himself with a knife and robbed a pizza delivery driver of food and money. The robbery, which took place at the Travel Lodge, 1116 West Lincoln Highway, was the first crime against a delivery driver this semester, but was not related to a similar crime that occurred Sept. 23, where another delivery driver was robbed while delivering an order in the 900 block of Regent Drive.

Braun faces a charge of armed robbery, a Class X felony punishable by six to 30 years in prison. Braun is also charged with two counts of criminal damage to property, one of them a felony charge punishable by one to three years in prison and another misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in county jail.

Braun is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
