DeKalb to hold liquor commission meeting
October 16, 2006
Residents have an opportunity to voice their feelings about the recent liquor code changes.
DeKalb will hold a liquor commission meeting to continue the recommendation of changes to the liquor code at 7 p.m. tonight.
Discussions will take place at the DeKalb Municipal Building, 200 South Fourth Street, room 212.
The meeting is open to general questioning of the liquor code and will look at alternatives to DeKalb’s current system of liquor licensing, said City Clerk Donna Johnson.
Questions regarding the number of Class A licenses will be addressed, those which allow businesses to serve alcohol, as well as regarding the licensing fee system and classification.
DeKalb has not issued another Class A license in several years.
