Stow-away gets two years probation

AUSTIN | A Chicago woman who hid on a flight to attend a music festival has been sentenced to two years probation.

Catherine “Cat” Chow, 33, also must complete 200 hours of community service, the Austin American-Statesman reported Tuesday.

Chow, who works in New York, was on a standby list for a flight March 18 from St. Louis to Austin. When she learned that the American Airlines flight was full, Chow sneaked onto the plane and hid in the bathroom.

She pleaded guilty June 30 to stowing away on an aircraft.
