NIU football coach Joe Novak had wide receiver Britt Davis go for an eye examination last week.

Novak said doctors gave Davis contacts after finding that the sophomore has a slight case of astigmatism.

Not to be harsh, but to my knowledge Davis didn’t wear contacts last year and caught 42 passes for 441 yards.

I understand if Davis isn’t performing to his fullest because we are all human, but don’t give me excuses.
