The Star wants to know what you think

The Star’s editors for next fall cordially invite you to an open forum meeting tonight at 6:30 in the Stevenson North Multipurpose Room. There, readers like yourself will be invited to tell us what kind of things you’d like to see next fall.

As NIU’s campus newspaper, the Northern Star staff feels it is our responsibility to reach out to our audience: the readers.

The Star hopes to provide NIU and surrounding areas in DeKalb and Sycamore the best possible newspaper each day, but in order to do that we need your help.

What things do we do that you like? What things do we do wrong? What kinds of things would you like to see in your campus newspaper each day? We welcome your answers to these questions because they will determine what adjustments we make to our product.

It is the goal of the Northern Star to remain a fresh, fun and informative news source for NIU students and members of the community. But who are we to tell you what you want? No one knows what you want to see better than you.

We hope you will join us tonight and discuss with us what you’d like to see from your paper. Refreshments will be provided, so come by, have a snack and chat with us for a while.

We give you the news and our views five days a week.

Now it’s your turn.
