1-A victim called the DeKalb Police Department to report an aggressive trespasser at 4:11 a.m., Sunday at 230 Augusta Ave. The victim heard knocking on the front door, opened it and saw the person was not a resident of the house. He told the suspect, Christina N. Evans, 26, of 1115 Annie Glidden Road Apt. 1, to leave. Evans pushed her way inside the house. Evans produced a small baseball bat and struck the victim. Police arrived and placed Evans under arrest for home invasion, aggravated battery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
2-DeKalb County Sheriff’s police saw a car make a lane violation at 12:48 a.m., Sunday at Dresser Road and Normal Road. Police stopped the car and the driver, Hernandez Bemardino, 24, of Crystal Lake, admitted to having no valid driver’s license. All passengers in the car admitted to drinking and were under the age of 21. Police arrested Hernandez for driving without a valid driver’s license. Police also arrested Kevin Whittier III, 20, of Crystal Lake; Zachory A. Colip, 20, of Chicago; Cory Butler, 19, of Crystal Lake; Tomas Golnka, 19, unknown; Brian J. Yew, 19, unknown; Brian Hall, 19, of Crystal Lake; David Y. Song, 19, of Crystal Lake; and Mark McHully, 19, of Naperville, for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. All those arrested were taken to the DeKalb County Jail for processing.
3-DeKalb County Sheriff’s police watched a car cross the center line at 1:29 a.m., Friday at First Street, north of Coltonville Road. The driver, Darren R. Chenung, 20, of German Valley, admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests. Police placed Chenung under arrest for DUI, DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. Police took Chenung to the DeKalb County Jail for processing.
4-DeKalb County Sheriff’s police observed a car disobey a stop sign at 3:26 a.m., Friday at Annie Glidden Road and Crane Drive. The driver, William Hopkins, 22, of Chicago, admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests. Hopkins then attempted to flee. Police apprehended him and found him to be in possession of cannabis. Police arrested Hopkins for DUI, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, open container violation, driving with a suspended license and three outstanding failure to appear warrants.
