DeKalb resident Phillip A. Neumann died from injuries received in an car accident Aug. 17.

The accident occurred at 10:57 p.m. on Peace Road, between Barber Greene and Bethany roads.

It appeared the car was travelling north on Peace Road when it left the roadway and rolled over several times, according to a DeKalb County Coroner’s press release.

Neumann was ejected from the vehicle and found lying in a field on the east side of Peace Road.

He was transported to the Kishwaukee Hospital, 626 Bethany Road, where he was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be conducted and an inquest will be held at a later date.

The accident remains under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office.
