Otto’s to celebrate Weezer’s 5th LP release
May 4, 2005
It’s not “Beverly Hills” or an “Island in the Sun,” but tonight Otto’s Niteclub, 118 E. Lincoln Highway, will be home to Weezer.
No, not the power-pop foursome, but the band’s latest release, “Make Believe.”
Weekender, in conjunction with Universal Records and Otto’s, will celebrate next week’s release of Weezer’s fifth LP.
“This is a really cool chance for students to get together at Otto’s, to get some cool giveaways and hear the entire record before it comes out,” said Scott Kawa, Universal Records lifestyle and marketing representative.
The event begins at 10 p.m. in the Underground with no end specified. The evening is free, but limited to customers 21 and older.
Tonight will feature “Make Believe” in its entirety. In addition to hearing the new release before it hits shelves, attendees can enter to win T-shirts, posters and other Weezer merchandise to be given away at the end of the night, including a copy of the entire Weezer CD catalogue.
