Playboy’s 2004 Playmate of the Year will leave the pages of the magazine to make a stop in DeKalb on Friday.

Carmella DeCesare, the 2004 Playmate of the Year, was featured in an eight-page pictorial in Playboy’s June 2004 issue.

The appearance is part of a promotion for Jagermeister, a German bitter liqueur, said Chris Casey, DeCesare’s booking agent.

Bar One, 1000 W. Lincoln Highway, will open doors at 8 p.m. for the event.

The amount of the cover charge is not yet set, Bar One owner James Sanfilippo said.

DeCesare will also host a hot body contest at Bar One. The contest will begin at about midnight, Sanfilippo said.

The evening event will be accompanied by a meet and greet session during the day Friday.

As of press time, Casey said he was trying to secure space at the Holmes Student Center’s Duke Ellington Ballroom for the meet and greet.

“We’re trying, but we don’t really know if it’s going to go through or not,” Sanfilippo said.

DeCesare would sign autographs and mingle with students if the space could be secured, Casey said. The meet and greet would take place at 3 or 4 p.m. and would be free.
