DeKalb police arrested a 40-year-old man on charges of criminal sexual assault Tuesday.

Police said Dean A. Phillip, of DeKalb assaulted a female juvenile, but was unavailable to comment on the time or nature of the incident as of press time.

Phillip was previously sentenced to five years in prison for a 1994 aggravated criminal sexual assault conviction.

Phillip is listed in the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry as residing at 1010 S. Davy St.

If convicted, Phillip could face up to 15 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Bond has been set at $200,000.
