Calling all corn maze fans

By Derek Wright

Weekender needs your help.

For the section’s Halloween edition, running Oct. 28, we hope to send students on a frigid, ghoulish race.

We are looking for teams of two to four students to help us with the upcoming cover story.

The Jonamac Orchard in Malta is home to a Halloween tradition for the NIU’s student body: the corn maze.

We want you to further the tradition.

Weekender is looking to send groups of students simultaneously through the maze. Each team will be accompanied by a Weekender reporter, who will jot down the hilarity that is sure to ensue.

Whichever team makes it through the maze first will win a prize provided by the Northern Star.

If you are interested in entering a team or are an individual and wish to be added to an existing team of race runners, send an e-mail to Derek Wright at [email protected].

Make sure to include your name, year in school, major and contact information for you or all persons on your team.

A date and time for the race have not been set officially. Thus, be sure to include your availability to help us set a definite race schedule.
