September 9, 2004
DeKalb City Council members will consider their pay scale at Monday evening’s meeting.
The council also will examine amending sections of Chapter 38, “Intoxicating Liquors,” of the Municipal Code at Monday’s meeting.
Resolutions authorizing DeKalb Mayor Greg Sparrow to approve $10,000 for preserving the Egyptian Theater and the widening of taxiways at the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport also are expected.
The council will consider approving a recommendation to award an airport window replacement project to Irving Construction for $17,831.
Further discussion of Park 88 is also on the agenda. An ordinance will be read for a possible $1.4 million creation of a backup special service area at the industrial park located in the southeastern part of DeKalb, said DeKalb City Manager Mark Biernacki.
Two properties in DeKalb will be opened for bids at the council meeting.
One of the properties is located at 703 N. Fourth St., and the other is the former site of Ollie’s, now a vacant lot, off Sycamore Road.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Monday in the city council chambers at the DeKalb Municipal Building, 200 S. Fourth St.
