DeKalb County Sheriff’s Police announced Thursday morning the arrest of three people wanted in connection with several Malta burglaries earlier this month.
Kurt D. Hudson, 19, of Malta was charged with burglary. Two 16-year-old male juveniles from Sycamore and Malta were charged with both burglary and criminal damage to property. Additional charges are pending.
Police said that Hudson and the two juveniles were responsible for a Sept. 15 burglary at Malta Elementary School, 507 N. Third St. in Malta, and the burglaries of up to 20 cars throughout Malta on the same night.
Several pieces of equipment were taken from the school the night of the burglary. Walls and floors were also vandalized.
Police said evidence from the burglaries was recovered from several locations in Malta.
Hudson is being held at the DeKalb County Jail while the juveniles are being held at Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.
