The NIU lacrosse club topped a pair of teams with winning records and finished 3-1 this weekend.

Nebraska and North Dakota both fell to NIU with finals of 10-6 and 12-6 respectively. NIU also picked up a win over Western Kentucky by forfeit. NIU then lost its last game 9-4 to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The Huskies still need to beat Northwestern to make the postseason.

“The NU game will be the biggest game our club has seen in quite a while,” NIU lacrosse president Jason Magnuson said.

The game with Northwestern will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in DeKalb.
