Friday afternoon, DeKalb County Sheriff’s police arrested three Leland men in connection with four burglaries.

Russell Lurz, 24, was charged with four counts of burglary; Jason Orbe, 28, was charged with four counts of burglary; and Joel Peters, 18, was charged with five counts of burglary.

Police said the men were arrested after an investigation into burglaries that occurred during the past month at the following locations: a home on Pine Road in rural Somonauk; a garage in rural Sandwich; a car at Shabbona Lake State Park; Health Kick foods, 8601 Chicago Road, Waterman; and Country Cupboard Antiques & Gifts, 9951 Route 23, Waterman.
