DCEDC offers luncheon
November 17, 2003
The DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation will hold its first Industrial Focus Luncheon on Friday.
The luncheon will feature three prominent local industrial executives who “will address the corporate strategies that have allowed them the success they have had with their businesses,” said Roger Hopkins, executive director of DCEDC.
Dave Hintzsche of Hintzsche Companies, Don Jones of DeKalb Forge and Dave Juday of IDEAL industries will speak about the corporate strategies that have made them successful in their respective industries.
“These speakers dignify the manufacturing and agricultural businesses as real careers, they are real stalwarts in the local economy,” Hopkins said. “We really need to grow and stimulate our community’s economy.
“It is beneficial to all those who are going into work in the field of business or those who plan on going into business for themselves to gain a better understanding of the business climate they will be coming into,” Hopkins said.
The program is open to all and costs $20 per person, which includes lunch. The program will take place at the Kishwaukee College BID Center in Malta. Anyone who wishes to attend must RSVP today by calling 895-2711.
