CAB offers incentives for event attendance
October 29, 2003
Students who attend Campus Activities Board events have the opportunity to win a $300 gift certificate to Wal-Mart.
Students can pick up “CAB Fare” cards in the CAB office or at any CAB event.
“At every CAB Fare event, which is practically every CAB event, students will have the opportunity to get their cards punched in different categories,” said Jennifer Suerth, president of CAB.
CAB events are divided into five categories: music, which consists of concerts and nooners; the arts, which consists of fine arts and visual arts; ongoing events, consisting of travel, films, speakers and special events; Unity in Diversity; and a last category consisting of Homecoming, Family Weekend and Springfest.
Once students have their cards punched in two of each category, cards can be entered in a drawing.
The grand prize is a $300 gift certificate to Wal-Mart, and other prizes from the University Bookstore, Village Commons Bookstore and Pita Pete’s will be given out.
“There are a lot of students that come to almost all of the CAB events and we wanted to give a thank you to them by doing something like this,” Suerth said. “Also, it will hopefully give incentive to other students to come and check us out.”
Winners will be announced at the last Springfest event.
