According to DeKalb County Sheriff’s police, Brain Kirby, 18, of Charleston, was arrested for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

At 12:44 a.m. Friday, at Steak ’N’ Shake, 2380 Sycamore Road, Sheriff’s police responded to a report of suspicious activity.

Upon arriving, the Sheriff’s police spoke with employees of Steak ’N’ Shake and then made contact with Kirby.

Kirby reportedly was found to be in possession of the controlled substance cannabis, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff’s police arrested and charged Kirby with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kirby was arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail pending a bond hearing. He was released.
