Mad Lib legend

Forget about grade-school English classes or Hooked on Phonics. There was no better way to learn about adjectives, nouns and verbs than by doing Mad Libs.
Since this is the final Weekender section of the semester, the M.O.O.S.E. decided to give you the (2)_______ school year in review, Mad Libs style. Have a friend say the type of word that’s needed for each blank, and blindly pick a word that fits. (See the accompanying box for some help.)
Remember to not read the sentence first, because that’s what makes it fun!
This year, students’ (2)_______ lives have been affected by Sept. 11. Osama bin Laden (4)_______ with the wrong country and now has to suffer the consequences.
He was last reported hiding in a (1)_______. Students here wish they could (3)_______ bin Laden with a pool stick. After Sept. 11 our economy dropped like a (1)_______. But America (4)_______ back.
In music, Paul McCartney (6)_______ released another album and Mick Jagger (4)_______ with another solo album. Both need to (3)_______ each other and make room for more Britney Spears commercials. Speaking of Spears, she had a (2)_______ album released this year. She (6)_______ told America that she wasn’t a girl, but not yet a (1)_______.
Maybe NIU will get that (2)_______ Convocation Center up and running and we can stop (5)_______ and bringing in musicians like Ben Folds. Time will tell.
In sex, NIU ranked (8)_______ in number of couples in (5)_______ relationships. (8)_______ percent of students blame their (11)_______ on their ex-girlfriends, but NIU students still are (5)_______ each other more than ever before. Men are preferring (2)_______ heads while women are looking for mature men in their (13)____‘s. It’s a twisted cycle.
In booze news, vodka- and rum-flavored malt liquors made their debut. NIU students are (5)_______ themselves brilliant. These drinks tell students that they should (3)_______ or die. The latter may be better.
In sports, the Huskies’ football record was 6-5 while the basketball team had a (2)_______ record of 12-16. (8)_______ students showed up to all of the games. A number to be truly proud of.
In the NFL, the Chicago Bears made the playoffs. We were (12)_______ about it, but realized that they played as (6)_______ as they could.
Michael Jordan came back to play for the (2)_______ Washington Wizards instead of the Chicago Bulls. Students were happy to see him, but thought that he should (3)_______ for the Bulls instead of the Wizards. He would’ve been better at it in Chicago. His wife sued for divorce, but they mended their differences, probably to the tune of (14)_______ dollars.
In baseball, the Cubs look like (10)_______ while the White Sox are playing like (10)_______, but both still won’t win the World Series.
At graduation, another (2)_______ crop of NIU students will be released upon society like (11)_______. The M.O.O.S.E. will be one of them. It has been a (2)_______ ride and the M.O.O.S.E. would like to say: “You can (3)_______ my (1)_______, because I’m outta here.”
