SA opens doors to public
November 7, 2001
Imagine someone you don’t know walks into your house, looks around and starts asking you questions.
The Student Association is allowing just that during their annual open house on Thursday.
Starting at 10 a.m., the SA office doors, Campus Life Building, Room 180, will be open to the public.
Visitors will be provided a breakfast consisting of donuts, bagels and cream cheese.
This isn’t the main attraction, though. The executive offices will open to anyone curious about the workings of the SA.
“We will be in our offices all day, when we don’t have class, to answer any questions you might have,” said Natalie Conde, SA director of public affairs.
At noon, SA President Troy Caldwell will deliver a speech to the public in the Campus Life Building, Room 100.
“I am going to focus on academic excellence, campus safety and the administrative-student relationship,” Caldwell said in regard to his speech.
When Caldwell completes his speech, lunch will be served to those visiting the offices.
After lunch, the offices will remain open.
“We want to open the lines of communication between the staff and students and show our accomplishments so far this year,” Caldwell said.
The open house will end at 4:30 p.m.
