University Police have no more information regarding a criminal sexual assault reported at 10 p.m. Friday.

According to a police report, a victim said the incident happened near Reavis and Cole halls in central campus. Lt. John Hunter could not expand on details Tuesday, saying the matter was still under investigation.

Hunter did stress the importance of the report, saying that officers take sexual assault reports seriously. On Monday, the department reminded students to be cautious when walking alone in lightly traveled areas of campus.

Police said students should attempt to use public transportation whenever possible, especially in the evening.
