DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that 12 additional students and four employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 13 students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 39 students and 12 employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 554 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 503 have recovered.

As of  Monday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 3.7%  quarantine and isolation use, this is a 0.6% decrease from Wednesday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 17 COVID-19 tests during the week of Nov. 23 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0%, with no recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
