1 additional student tests positive for COVID-19, 1 student recovers

DeKALB — NIU announced Friday that one additional student and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and one student has recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Friday, 27 students and nine employees are currently COVID-19 positive.
The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 592 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 556 have recovered.
As of Friday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 3.1% quarantine and isolation use, the same as Thursday.
