6 more students, 2 employees test positive for COVID-19

The DeKalb County Health Department announced 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number to 8,662.

DeKALB — NIU announced Thursday that six additional students and two employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and two students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Thursday, 32 students and five employees are currently COVID-19 positive.
The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 716 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 679 have recovered.
As of Thursday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 6.7% quarantine and isolation use, a 1.2% increase from Wednesday.
