DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,303.

Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,864 are younger than 19, 2,523 are in their 20s, 1,545 are in their 30s, 1,397 are in their 40s, 1,266 are in their 50s, 846 are in their 60s, 451 are in their 70s and 411 are 80 or older.

As of Friday, 119 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.

DeKalb County has administered 80,883 vaccines as of Friday, and 37,080 county residents are fully vaccinated, 35.6% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.

Statewide, there are 1.3 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 22,880 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The state has fully vaccinated 5.3 million residents as of Friday, 41.9% of the state population.
